The European Commission´s research and innovation arm, DG Connect, will co-sponsor a workshop on cybersecurity in manufacturing in order to provide insight on the needs, current solutions and future security requirements for the sector. The European Cybersecurity Organisation (ECSO) and the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) are also organizing the event.
According to EFFRA, the event aims to draw attention to the important challenges in manufacturing environments today and identify areas where these challenges are not fully recognized or addressed. Participants will analyze the needs and requirements for secure and resilient manufacturing environments, current and future key enabling technologies and cybersecurity approaches and European and international initiatives that address cybersecurity in manufacturing, among others.
The workshop will be held in Brussels on Oct. 17. You can register for the event here. An agenda will soon be published at the EFFRA website.
