The European Commission is seeking members for its Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group. The group will be responsible for advising the Commission and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) on strategic issues around cybersecurity certification.
The group is part of the Commission’s efforts to strengthen cybersecurity across the bloc. Cybersecurity certification is a central pillar of this initiative. Recently, the EU Cybersecurity Act, which establishes a voluntary cybersecurity framework, came into force. The framework aims to assure customers that the ICT products and services that they acquire are secure.
In addition to advising the Commission on cybersecurity certification issues, the group will also be tasked with helping develop the rolling work program.
The call is open to academic institutions, consumer organizations, conformity assessment bodies, standard developing organizations, companies, trade associations and other membership organizations.
