Cybersecurity Reflection Group EU-US Outcomes

The following publications have been produced in collaboration with AEGIS’ Cybersecurity Reflection Group. Experts in the Cybersecurity and Privacy R&I Working Group and the Cybersecurity Policy Working Group were consulted on the key questions and issues tackled in these reports. Their input was included in all publications. The reports were presented to the European Commission and US regulatory bodies upon publication.

Benchmarking Report on the Cybersecurity and Privacy Landscape in the EU and the US

This document provides an analysis of EU and US cybersecurity and privacy R&I priorities. The analysis is based on the main documents that highlight the most important areas for R&I and funding programs. The AEGIS consortium applied the results of the analysis to the three AEGIS focus application domains — healthcare, finance and maritime — to determine how well the most important cybersecurity issues in all three domains are addressed by current R&I priorities. The analysis shows that most of the high priority areas are well covered by the available programs. – Published June 2019

Cybersecurity and Privacy Landscape in the US

The US landscape document provides a comprehensive picture of the current state of the country´s cybersecurity using the critical areas defined by the Federal Cybersecurity Research and Development Strategic Plan. AEGIS developed a common cybersecurity taxonomy based on work being carried out in the US cybersecurity and privacy research communities to categorize the findings in a more structured way. This allowed project partners to carry out an analysis of the strength and effectiveness of US cybersecurity policy from a technological, legislative and market perspective. – Published June 2018

White Paper on Cybersecurity Policy

The White Paper analyzes the cybersecurity strategies adopted by the EU and the US in recent years.
